Peach Paraffin Wax 'Beautyfor', 1kg

Paraffin therapy, also known as paraffin wax treatment, is a therapeutic spa treatment commonly used for its therapeutic and cosmetic benefits. It involves the use of warm, melted paraffin wax to promote relaxation, soothe aches and pains, and improve the overall condition of the skin. Paraffin therapy is often used on the hands and feet but can also be applied to other parts of the body.

Here's how to use paraffin therapy treatment:

Materials You'll Need:

  • Paraffin wax
  • Paraffin wax warmer or double boiler
  • Plastic or paper sheets
  • Towels Moisturizer or lotion
  • Disposable gloves (optional)

Steps to Use Paraffin Therapy Treatment:

Prepare the Paraffin Wax: If you're using a paraffin wax block, break it into smaller pieces to melt more easily. Place the paraffin wax into a paraffin wax warmer or a double boiler. Follow the manufacturer's instructions for heating. Typically, the wax should be heated to around 125 to 130 degrees Fahrenheit (51 to 54 degrees Celsius).

Prepare the Skin: Ensure the area to be treated is clean and dry. Remove any jewelry, and wash your hands or feet thoroughly. You can apply a moisturizer or lotion to the skin before the treatment to enhance the moisturizing effect.

Test the Temperature: Before dipping your hands or feet into the melted wax, check the temperature of the wax on a small area of your skin to ensure it's not too hot. It should be comfortably warm, not scalding. Dip Your Hands or Feet: Dip your hands or feet into the melted wax one at a time.

Dip and remove several times, allowing the wax to build up in layers. Leave the fingertips or toes exposed for easy removal later. Let each layer of wax cool slightly between dips to build up a thicker coating.

Wrap in Plastic or Paper: After you've built up enough layers, immediately wrap the treated area in plastic or paper sheets to retain heat. This also helps the wax penetrate and moisturize the skin effectively. You can also use insulated mittens or booties specifically designed for paraffin treatments.

Relax: Sit back and relax for about 15-20 minutes while the paraffin wax does its work. The heat from the wax will help relax muscles and open pores while the wax moisturizes the skin.

Remove the Wax: After the treatment time is up, carefully remove the plastic or paper sheets and peel off the paraffin wax. It should come off easily, leaving your skin soft and moisturized. If you have difficulty removing the wax, you can gently use your fingers to loosen the edges.

Apply Moisturizer: After removing the wax, apply a moisturizer or lotion to lock in the hydration and leave your skin feeling smooth and nourished.

Paraffin therapy is known for its ability to soothe dry, rough skin, improve blood circulation, and provide relief from arthritis or muscle pain. It can be a relaxing and rejuvenating spa treatment when done correctly. Be cautious with the temperature of the wax to avoid burns, and if you have any medical conditions or concerns, consult with a healthcare professional before using paraffin therapy.
